The original thickness of the aluminum wafer is L. The thickness of AIN layer is X. The total thickness of the AIN/A1 wafer is unchanged during the reaction. The molar density of A1 is ρB and the following concentration profile of N2 was found.

    Reaction rate based on unit surface area = ksCAi

    Show that the thickness of AIN can be expressed as X2+AX=Bt , and find the expressions for A and B.
