科目:生物力學與材料 (共2頁 第1頁)

1.

(a).(12%) Compare generally the physical, chemical and biological properties of four groups of biomaterials (i.e. metals, ceramics, polymers and composites ) used for implantation. (b) (8%) Discuss all aspects of the problem including fabrication, compatibility and stress distribution when they are used to manufacture hip prostheses.

2. (10%) Describe the major applications of biodegradable polymers in the area of tissue engineering. Give two xamples together with their advantages and disadvantages.

3. (10%) What are the sterilization processes of the three major sterilization methods ( steam, ethylene oxide, radiation) ? Discuss their advantages and disadvantages from the point of the integrity of the physical and biological properties of the implanted biomaterials.

4. (10%) Describe how to access In Vitro and In Vivo tissue compatibilities of implants, respectively.

5. 10%) Describe the following terms: (a) EMG (Electromyography) (b) Mechanical advantage.

6. (15%) When performing human motion analysis (Gait analysis), what are the typical kinematic and kinetic parameters measured? (list four of them each).

7. (15%) The quadriceps tendon attaches to the tibia at a 30 degrees angle 4 cm from the joint center at the knee. When an 80 N weight is attached to the ankle 28 cm from the knee joint, how much force is required of the quadriceps to maintain the leg in a horizontal position? What is the magnitude and direction of the reaction force exerted by the femur on the tibia? (Neglect the weight of the leg and the action of other muscles.)

8. (10%) A 580 N skydiver in free fall is accelerating at -8.8 m/s2 rather than -9.81 m/s2 because of the force of air resistance. How much drag force is acting on the skydiver?
