Off Campus Access to Library Information Systems

Every patron may freely access our library's home page on campus and off campus, but if you want to access the indexing, e-journal, e-book and database resources off campus, we provide Authorized patrons (include current CYCU students, faculty, and staff) three choices as below. However, the CD-ROM indexes and databases are unavailable for off-campus access.

By login CYCU library proxy server.

Library Proxy Server Setup Instructions

You can use your CYCU Library ID and password to authenticate to the library proxy server to access licensed electronic resources from off-campus if you use a third party Internet Service Provider (e.g. AOL, Earthlink, Pacbell) via DSL, cable, ISDN, or regular modem.

Your CYCU Library ID is your faculty ID and your password is your personal ID(1 letter and 9 digits). If you forget your password, please take your Faculty ID card and contact the Reference Desk or Circulation Desk.

By login CYCU campus network.

You may connect to the campus network by dialing into campus modem (TEL no. is: (03)4109014 ,total 23 lines, login your ID/Password same as CYCU email ID/password, DNS:140.135.18.15) , then you may use most of the Library's internet resources without any other passwords. Whenever you open your web browser and go to the Library's home page to find the research resources, you should be able to use them whether you are in the Library, in your office, on campus or on your personal computer at home.

By ID/Password.

Some databases can be accessed by ID and Password off campus. You may request a database ID/Password Request Form at http://www.lib.cycu.edu.tw/forms/db_appl_form.pdf. After you complete the form, please submit it to the Reference Desk by fax (fax:03-2652849) or in person and you will get the vendors provided ID/Password for some databases .
